Flu is widespread in US with 7.3 million people sick, but experts see a milder season

As many as 7.3 million people have been sick with the flu since the season began in October, with between 69,000 and 84,000 people hospitalized for treatment, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday.
